They essentially serve large-sized hot dogs! I won’t lie, they’re a tad expensive, but they are tasty and pretty satisfying. The guys serving on 24/01/24 around noon were so friendly, by the way 🥹. Thank you!
Just recovering from the flu and having had 2 days of medication, I wanted to get something healthy and also tasty for my breakfast before going to work. I happened to pass by SUPER SUB @ OTH and they had what I wanted: a tasty hotdog (not too "heaty") and also vegetables, which included my favorite spring onions! 🥰 The minute I stepped into the shop, the only two attendants inside immediately greeted me warmly with big smiles. I explained it was my first time there, and one of them patiently introduced me to their best sellers, so I decided to dine in. 😊
I ordered The Pesto Chic Folks and was surprised that it was the first time I had a hotdog bun without chili sauce, because their ingredients were so fresh and delicious. I wanted to enjoy its original taste. Another thing that surprised me was their Teh Halia. They catered to what I wanted: less sweet, and I dare say it can beat, or maybe even be better than, some Indian stalls, because they put heart into the drink (just see the bubbles on the surface of the cup...). Needless to say much, right? 😉
Thank you, SUPER SUB! And thank you to the two attendants for your dedication and good vibes! Giving me SUPER SUB power for the day! 💪💪💪😁
I ordered both the Sassy Spicy Mango Salsa and the Heavenly Yuzu Crab. I wasn't really impressed by the salsa, but the yuzu crab was surprisingly good and immediately became my favorite! The order was completed really quickly, and the staff were very friendly too. It's worth grabbing a bite while you're in the area! I look forward to trying the rest of the menu. The quality of food isn't just a passing grade of 3; it's more like a 3.7 for me. Keep it up! :)
"I ordered the Fiery Chic Bolognese with a top-up for the Cheezy Hotdog, and the Heavenly Yuzu Crab.
The Fiery Chic Bolognese was okay, just slightly spicy. I wish the cheese in the Cheezy Hotdog had been melted, or was more like string cheese. The Heavenly Yuzu Crab was better."
"Definitely a place where we can chill and enjoy a hotdog and a drink. They have nine types of nice hotdogs (refer to photo), including vegetarian and spicy options. Drinks are also available at a reasonable price. We can dine in or take away. There is also common seating available in front of the store. The hotdogs are averagely priced. The tortilla chips are pricey, but worth it. Friendly service by the staff. Thumbs up! Highly recommended!"
Nice concept for a hotdog. I had the guacamole one, and the ingredients were fresh. The hotdog itself was warm and came out pretty quickly. The place is quite small, but the food is easy to take away and eat outside where there is more seating.
It's freaking satisfying!
Made-to-order hot dog sub.
Pardon the photo of the half-finished sub :P
Hot bun, fresh vegetables, good sauce. You can tell they've taken great care with their ingredients to give us a good experience!
I got the fiery chic bolognese. It has a solid kick.
$8.50, a la carte, for just the bun. Go get it.
Ordered winglets with ranch, spicy sauce dumplings, and salted chicken rice.
Wings: 7.5/10
* Garlic Ranch: 2/10 (it's normal garlic ranch, though the servings are generous)
Salted Chicken Rice: 9/10 (really good)
Spicy Sauce Dumplings: 5/10... The dumpling itself is 8/10, but there's no spicy sauce included.
Kudos to the guy at the cashier for great customer service 👍 (shown in pic)
Do not eat at their Tampines Hub branch. I tried their prawn fried rice with my colleague for lunch. The service was good, and I thought it was not bad; it came with 4 prawns, and the fried rice was well cooked. One week later (today), I brought my wife to try it, and the order came with only 3 prawns.
When I asked, the staff told me it was because the prawns were bigger this week, hence only 3. There was no difference in the size of the prawns, though, as they were most likely the frozen/thawed kind.
The staff did not try to explain any further and just said it was management's decision to reduce the quantity to 3. Mind you, I just ate it a week ago! It's quite mind-boggling; if you can imagine, the next visit they could tell you there are only 2 prawns because they are "bigger" and management has reduced the quantity.
Overall, the service was good, but after this experience, maybe we won't patronize them again. What a pity!
"Ordering: There seems to be something wrong with their ordering app. My colleague was able to use her first-time member voucher, but I couldn't. When I approached the staff at the counter, they said it was because I registered today (which my colleague also did)?? Anyway, I made the payment without the member voucher. Next, they got my colleague's order wrong; she didn't select takeaway, but the food came in takeaway containers and was the wrong item. We were too hungry, so we just decided to eat it anyway. The table beside us also had similar issues; they had a duplicate order in the app, but everyone received their meals.
Staff: They are relatively helpful and polite, but the waiting time for the food was quite long, even though only two tables were occupied.
Food: Taste-wise, it's not bad, but it looks different from the menu (the enoki came without sauce and seemed a bit small)."
