I visited around 5:40 PM and ordered the Japanese curry fried chicken rice. The wait time was reasonable, but the rice was too sticky, and the curry was quite thick. The taste was average and lacked the spiciness I was hoping for. Even after adding chili powder, it didn't quite meet my expectations.
Overall, I felt the dish was overpriced. Be aware that some orders require a waiting time of about 5 minutes. Also, all their meats are frozen, which might impact the overall freshness and taste.
It was my first time trying Salad Crunch at OTH Basement, and it was a pleasant experience. The owner and staff were friendly and patient. The young Indian staff member was very patient when explaining things and answering my questions πππ½
The food portion was good, and there's a variety of options available to create your own bowl. I wish they had more protein selections, though. I've got to say I'm amazed by the number of salad dressings available π€! The best part is that you can even ask to try the dressings before adding them to your bowl ππ½.
Overall, everything tasted great, and the price was alright. Pleasant customer service βοΈπ! I would definitely return! Theyβre available on Grab and Food Panda!
The total cost for my custom bowl was $7.50, but I added chicken as protein, which was an additional $2, bringing the total to $9.50.
I used to buy dinner from here almost every day, but stopped after I moved out of Tampines. I recently bought their salad again and the prices have increased a lot. Moreover, the staff didn't inform me that the chicken wasn't ready and just prepared my salad base. So, I had to pick whatever was available: either tuna or salmon. I remember the dressing used to be served in a small container, which was more convenient. This time, the staff just drenched the salad in olive oil. And with the tuna already having oil, by the time I reached the bottom of the bowl, there was a pool of oil. The cucumber served had also been kept for a long time, as it was half soggy and discolored. This is also the first food stall that I've encountered charging for a plastic bag. After this experience, I will definitely be sticking with Subway if I want a salad from Tampines Hub. There is a ShopeePay sticker in the store, but the staff did not accept that mode of payment, only PayNow.
This was, for me, a great salad shop. I would rate it as one of the best salad places in Singapore. I enjoyed my lunch and really liked the variety they offer to "make your own salad."
Excellent lunch, and I highly recommend it for salad lovers! π₯
"It's my lunch time, and it's my choice. I highly recommend their fresh foods. The fresh leaves, corn, and salmon are all perfect. The young female staff are very nice and kind, and they always smile. Good place! Choose your wrap and eat perfectly healthy food."
"Just went to Salad Crunch during lunch time, but the staff told me they were out of spinach base. Then I asked for onions and capsicum, but they didn't have those either. At this point, I didn't bother asking anymore. My goodness, why is it that they don't have everything? Do you guys even want to do business?"
"The taste was only so-so, but they charge overly expensive prices. I think business hasn't been so good, so they take every opportunity to charge more. I will never buy from them again because there are other more affordable options nearby."
"Wasted my time trying this stall. There's nothing special about the food. The price is misleading because they assume you want the large portion without asking. There's nothing great about the food; the mixed rice stall is better."
I didn't patronize the stall, but I was seated nearby when I heard loud, consecutive sneezes. I turned around and saw the stall assistant intentionally sneezing loudly and with his mouth open inside the stall. But the worst was yet to come: he actually used one of his fingers to press against one side of his nostrils and then expelled nasal mucus onto the floor inside his stall. He should be sacked if he's a staff member. See pic, guy in red shirt.
"Bought the set meal for $3.50 and got 3 small pieces of chicken (see 2nd photo). I added one more meat, and only afterwards was I told it would be $5 for the added meat! This is the most overpriced mixed rice I've ever had. Do NOT come here."
