"The teriyaki rice was nicely done when I've gotten it in the past. I tried the spicy chicken today using a coupon for $5.90, but the chicken portion was small and the broccoli was overdone. The wait was very long, and none of the three staff members were smiling."
Would give 0 stars if possible. The staff was rude when I asked for tissues. They couldn’t even say “no tissues”; they just said "no" rudely.
I did not expect such rude service. I expect better.
"The service was great and polite! :) I wanted a banana chocolate, and the staff helped make a fresh batch. It was quite yummy with thick banana inside!"
We've been eating Mr Bean since we were young... this yummy soymilk is a precious part of many Singaporean kids' childhoods. 😍😍😍👍👍👍 Beancurd and soy milk are very good vegetarian breakfast options! 😘😘😘
"I ordered a hot soybean drink and a pancake. The drink was lukewarm, not hot as expected. When I asked the staff to fix it, she added hot water, which made it hot but also diluted. The pancake was also slightly cold."
"Service was slow even though there were three staff members. The porridge wasn't nice; it looked good in the photo, but it was a small bowl. Not worth the money at $4.80. Going to the hawker center is more worthwhile."
My child was not reading well and had difficulty writing even basic words.
I researched School of Concepts online, and there were many great reviews from parents who had sent their children there. I decided to enroll my child, and I must say, the results were really good.
After joining for two terms, my child is able to read better, and his phonetics have improved.
"I signed up my son for lessons here. Prior to starting, he was unable to recognize any letters or make their corresponding sounds, despite being in full-day childcare. After 10 lessons, he has started making letter sounds and recognizing letters. The teachers here are kind, caring, and patient with both parents and students. The lessons are engaging for the students, and my son looks forward to every lesson! I highly recommend it!"
"I'm grateful to have chanced upon SOC, as my daughter was struggling to read even after a few terms at a larger chain. At the assessment, the interaction with the staff and teachers was great; the team tried their best to accommodate my concerns and schedule.
She just completed a term, and we are happy with the marked progress. The teacher has been wonderful and encouraging, so my daughter doesn't dread the lessons and, in fact, enjoys them!
As a parent, I appreciate how the teachers spend time after each class to clearly communicate what was taught, what my child struggled with, and how we can guide her at home to reinforce her learning.
Also, classes are kept small, and there is no homework, as the classes utilize worksheets that are completed during the lesson itself. At home, we simply reread the words/stories with our child. I find this less stressful and more effective than pushing her to complete pages of homework that I'm actually not very competent at guiding her through.
I'm grateful for the nurturing environment at SOC!"
