"First time trying Wingstop, and definitely not again. There were only about 5 tables occupied, but the order took 40 minutes to be served. That's very slow for fast food! The menu has so few items, and it still took that long.
You need to re-evaluate your operational process and staffing. By the way, most of the order ended up in the bin. It wasn't even warm after 40 minutes.
The service gets 2 stars only because the employees seemed to be trying their best. I'm not sure what's wrong, but the output is just very low."
"Very slow service. After waiting 45 minutes, you at least expect the chicken to be hot. Only the fries and mushrooms were lukewarm at best. I ate at the Simei branch, and the service was much faster there. Maybe they can learn from them."
"They seriously need to look at their operations. The service is very, very slow. I saw baskets of fried chicken in the fryer, but they weren't being mixed and served, which explains why the chicken pieces aren't hot when customers finally receive them.
If you want to eat here during a meal time, be prepared to wait for more than an hour. I made two orders, and both took over an hour. The second order still hadn't been called at 1:06 PM when this review was written. More than half the customers in the restaurant are waiting for their food, and food delivery drivers are all crowding the collection counter for customer orders. It's really ridiculous."
This is truly the best fried chicken place I've ever been to! The chicken is incredibly tender, and the sauce is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it!
The environment is nice and relaxing. Even though it's crowded, there's no long wait. The food tastes moderate, is affordably priced, and the portions are reasonable. The cake is highly recommended. It's a good choice in the Tampines area.
Quality of coffee is good. However, everything else in this outlet leaves much to be desired. From an optics perspective, I question why the staff are dressed in T-shirts and jeans. Surely, if you're paying the X% dine-in premium, you wouldn't expect to be served by people dressed in what appears to be their home clothes? It doesn't help that the staff generally look displeased and are unsmiling.
Notwithstanding the attire, one particular service staff member was leaning on the coffee machine and using his hands to "drum" on the table. This drumming noise, while probably appreciated by percussion enthusiasts, merely contributed to the overall noisiness of the cafe. This brings me nicely to my next point.
I am frankly unsure whether the coffee machines here are exceptionally loud, or if the cafe is just exceptionally echoey. My goodness. When the machines are switched on, it feels like I am standing on the floor of a nuclear power plant. It is that loud and industrial sounding, and the noise reverberates throughout the entire place. Due to this noise, customers have to raise their voices when speaking to each other. It is truly remarkable how loud this place can get. I personally witnessed a customer request to sit outside due to her inability to tolerate this industrial cacophony.
Lastly, if you are taking the "window seats," try not to place your bags on the ledge. As seen in my photo (attached), the ledges haven't been cleaned in a long time. There's a fly carcass pictured in my photo.
Overall, I would definitely opt for takeaway.
"A nice place for an early breakfast, worth giving it a try. The breakfast platter, truffle egg mayo croissant, pastries, and coffee are all good. The service is also good, and they are attentive to older customers. What I like the most is probably their air conditioning, as cafes/restaurants inside shopping malls are often stuffy in the early morning, but Dutch Colony has their own air conditioning system, and you can feel it strongly as soon as you step in."
"The food was really average; it was so different compared to many years ago when I ate at the Frankel Ave location. As for the service, it was a bit messy – when you enter, you don't know whether to sit or wait. I don't think they can handle large groups well. The environment is normal."
"Good coffee place in the heart of Tampines town.
I had a chai latte with a butter croissant. The croissant was chewy, soft, flaky, and buttery, and I enjoyed it with the chai latte. The ambiance was also nice; the weather was cold, there was a little rain, and the windows overlooked the road and green trees. It's a good place to go with close friends or a partner. Thumbs up."
I’ve tried items from the seasonal menu and they were really delicious. I want to come back and try more from the menu. The pineapple tart coffee has a very interesting taste; I wish those dishes could stay on the menu longer 🥰
