Our first time here. The price is reasonable for the portion size. Please note that there is no air conditioning, as it's an open-concept restaurant.

"Very friendly and kind service staff! The portions were generous for the price. We got 3 mains, 3 sides, and 4 drinks for around $52 using the Bupple Beyond 30% off deal. I was amazed at how the chefs managed to prepare so many dishes in such a small kitchen; hats off to them!"

Visited on December 29th at 3pm. First impression: staff etiquette is clearly lacking. There was no acknowledgement of arriving customers, hardly any eye contact, no verification of the food ordered. Staff were sitting at the front table drinking and using their phones after delivering food to customers. The saving grace was a perfunctory "thank you" after payment. The restaurant was warm and stuffy. Food-wise, it was very average; I would rather try the nearby food center than return again.

"Delicious food is served here. The mala bee hoon is soupy and nice. Even the sweet and sour lala with rice was tasty."

I had a great meal with my family. The atmosphere was nice, and the food was great. I will definitely be back again.

"First time trying the WBH outlet at OTH for lunch. The staff is friendly, and the menu looks good. Drinks were served really quickly. The waiting time for food was acceptable. They also have free keropok (crackers). Come and try it! 😁"

Today, Kitty and I set out on a cycling adventure, ending our journey at Tampines Hub for a well-deserved lunch. We were drawn to the long queue at Ah Fat Braised Duck Rice & Kway Chap, hoping for a delicious treat. Kitty opted for Set A with two extra kway, thinking the ingredients would be enough for two. However, when it was served, we found that the portion was rather small, not really enough for two people to share. Despite our initial hopefulness, we found that the kway chap and kway were unfortunately rather bland. The kway chap lacked the depth of flavor we expected, and even after Kitty added extra sauce, it remained underwhelming. While the duck *was* tender and flavorful, the overall experience left us wanting more. We suspect that the long queue might be due to patrons opting for the duck rice instead of the kway chap. We'll definitely be back to try the duck rice and update our rating accordingly. Given our experience, we'd suggest giving Ah Fat a 3-star rating on Google for now. While the duck was good, the blandness of the kway chap ultimately disappointed us, and the portion size was smaller than expected.
