"On Saturday, December 14th at 1 PM at Tampines Hub, a Chinese male employee provided really poor service. When I asked for his opinion, he replied rudely, saying "What you like." He was also using his phone while I was ordering and didn't pay attention to my order. As a paying customer, this is really unacceptable."
The moment I saw "shake shake," it reminded me of McDonald's Indian Peri Peri fries, and I couldn't help but give it a try!
We got the sweet potato fries because they seemed to be the most popular item on the menu.
I've never had sweet potato fries before, so this was definitely new to me, and they were very fresh and hot!
I do wish they had some condiments, like peri peri seasoning, to shake over them, but they didn't. Despite that, the fries were quite good!
"The truffle seasoning tastes great. However, it's difficult to understand why the regular (smallest) size is unavailable, and only the medium size ($4.70 onwards) is offered. The small portion (refer to the 2nd picture, where the fries aren't even in the cup, so it's much less than it initially appears) isn't worth the price. Pro-tip: use Shopback vouchers that give you the medium size for $3.30."
This used to be my favorite go-to place for snacks, until my experience today. When I ordered, firstly, the lady there was extremely rude. Secondly, I ordered BBQ flavored chicken pops, but the picture clearly showed no presence of the flavor, and instead of getting chicken pops, I got nuggets, which I hate. This dreadful experience made me feel like I wasted my money, which could have been used for something more beneficial. At that point, I was extremely hungry. I truly expected better than this.
I recently visited the Tampines outlet, but unfortunately, my experience with the staff left me disappointed. While waiting in line to place my order, the staff did not acknowledge our presence or greet us. Instead, they avoided eye contact and looked down, which made us feel unwelcome. After a while, we decided to leave, and as we walked away, we noticed the staff engaging in conversation with each other instead of attending to customers.
I understand that everyone has busy or off days, but a little acknowledgment or courtesy goes a long way in creating a welcoming atmosphere. I hope this feedback helps improve the service experience for future customers.
"The food is decent, but the cashiers are consistently rude and show no interest in providing customer service. When you arrive, they ignore you for a while as they do other things; there's no hello, no smile, they just look miserable. When the food is ready, they just point at it. I like their sweet potato balls, but I won't order again due to the multiple instances of poor customer service."
"The oil wasn't hot enough. The person deep-frying the tater tots ended up with them all crumpled up. Also, there wasn't enough powder coating, just a thin layer on top."
The Chicken Karage is pretty good—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It also comes with a nice bowl of Miso soup!
The beef bowl is not bad either. For hot green tea, you can get unlimited refills from their hot water machine.
One thing that affected me was the air conditioning. The shop is situated beside an automated glass door, which is next to the carpark where people are constantly coming in and out. That's probably why it felt pretty stuffy.
Overall, the renovation is new. If it weren't for the air conditioning, I would give it 4/5 stars.
"The food was good, but the experience was ruined by the rude cleaner. They were watching us while we were finishing our food and kept staring at us, gesturing for us to leave, even though the restaurant wasn't crowded and it wasn't close to closing time. We both ordered the student meals with drinks included, and when we decided to pour one of our green tea packets into a cup of ice, the cleaner told us there were no outside food or drinks allowed. It was just a packet of green tea, and we had spent $19 on food. We both had drinks as part of our meals, but we didn't like the green tea that was available. I would have understood the rude and disrespectful behavior if we had come in with our own food and drinks without buying anything, but we didn't. This will be my first and last visit. I even liked the food, but sadly, the staff ruined it for us. 1/10 service."
