The coaches are friendly and encouraging. My daughter was very reserved but opened up almost immediately when she attended lessons at Tumble Joy! It's definitely a good place for kids to explore and expend their energy.
Company policies are ridiculous, rigid, and don't make sense. Classes are similar (4-5 rotating stations with semi-static exercises) and don't adequately stimulate the kids. My kid is still in parent-accompanied classes, so it would be better to incorporate games or activities to keep very young children (less than 3 years old) interested. The coaches are good.
Update: They gave me a call, so I changed the review a bit (to reflect that classes are not all the same and to specify the type of class my son attends). Kudos to the staff for carrying out company policies, despite parents' frustrations.
Really bad service and experience at Tumble Joy Gymnastics @OTH. They have very strict rules about admission timings and accompanying relatives, and I even found cockroach feces on the gym equipment. Lessons seem to always start late and end early.
It's been a very unpleasant experience so far. I hope the service quality improves for future users.
"Tumble Joy Gymnastics has qualified and experienced coaches who are very dedicated to teaching and helping each child achieve their full potential.
I also like that the classes are structured and follow a syllabus with specific objectives for each program and level, definitely bringing joy to all the kids.
And my daughter's motor skills have improved tremendously, and the gym classes have helped in building her confidence. 👍"
My daughter Kayla has been with Tumble Joy for 3-4 years. She enjoys gymnastics so much. I would recommend the class to other kids, as it trains their stamina. The coaches there are all very well trained and good.
Review for Swee Heng @ Tampines Hub
I bought 3 breads amounting to $5.50 and gave the cashier $7. She took out a calculator to calculate my change. I took my change, turned, and had only taken one small step away from the cashier when I opened my hand to see the coins. I realized I received $1.40 instead of $1.50. Immediately, I told the cashier the change was short 10 cents. She went "huh" and started searching (for who knows what) in a small black pouch on top of the cash register. I'm not sure if she was digging for a 10-cent coin or the receipt, so I repeated that my purchases were $5.50 and I gave her $7, so the change should be $1.50 instead of $1.40. I said it's ok if you don't have 10 cents, I'm just highlighting it. Then the cashier replied, "I think your purchases were $5.60, right?" I told her no, it was $5.50, and she argued back, saying no, it was $5.60. I didn't want to argue over 10 cents, so I just said it's ok and walked off. When I walked past the bread shelves, I looked at the prices, and indeed, my items added up to $5.50. Just wanted to share with everyone: please check the change you get back before walking away from the cashier (even if it is just one tiny step), otherwise the cashier will say it's your fault or tell you your items totaled a different amount. 😑 I should have known something wasn't right when she took out a calculator to calculate the change she needed to return. 🤦🏻♀️
On June 3rd, 2024, at noon, I purchased a cake at the Swee Heng 1989 Classic branch in the Tampines Mall Basement. The female staff member did not honor the Passion Card discount, even after I showed her my Passion Card along with my payment. She even commented that the discount was only minimal, then proceeded to ignore me and serve the next customer instead of rectifying the issue. The staff member was not even apologetic – a very negative experience. There are other bakeries where I can get a better experience.
"Don't patronize this shop. Their swiss roll is a scam. They intentionally position the swiss roll so that the half with cream is facing you. When you get back, you'll find out the other half has no cream."
