N1 Chinese class:
范老师 is very patient and able to engage the children's attention during lesson time. She provides updates on the content being taught and videos of the children doing their "mini show and tell." My son looks forward to his weekly Chinese class.
The center is very good at engaging my daughter through role-play and drama activities, and she looks forward to attending her class each week. Her sentence structure and vocabulary have certainly improved.
"Student here; the system is questionable, to say the least. The lesson times are a bit frustrating (2.5 hours for P5). There's still a bit of a student behavior problem; if you get one wrong, you get made fun of. Overall, it's just eh."
Our child is currently enrolled in the N2 level at the Tampines Hub center. For an N2 student, my child can already recognize characters and converse in simple Chinese (we don’t speak Chinese to her at home).
Observing from outside, I can see that she enjoys the classes whenever she is there. The lessons are interactive and involve the children, encouraging them to participate and engage throughout the 1.5 hours. Laoshi also provides feedback to parents regularly, always keeping us updated with our child's progress. They take the time to share videos and photos, and also make sure parents are aware of the lesson content. Big thank you to Tan Laoshi and Fan Laoshi!
