"I ordered the Heavenly Yuzu Crab combo with nachos on the side and a lemonade to drink.
The sub itself was tasty, and the yuzu crab was good. It's definitely worth eating again.
The nachos were just so-so, though. I would try other sides in the future.
The seating area inside is quite cramped, but I went around 1:30 pm on a Saturday, and it wasn't too crowded, so no complaints.
The staff were very friendly 👍👍"
"Definitely a place where we can chill and enjoy a hotdog and a drink. They have nine types of nice hotdogs (refer to photo), including vegetarian and spicy options. Drinks are also available at a reasonable price. We can dine in or take away. There is also common seating available in front of the store. The hotdogs are averagely priced. The tortilla chips are pricey, but worth it. Friendly service by the staff. Thumbs up! Highly recommended!"
Just recovering from the flu and having had 2 days of medication, I wanted to get something healthy and also tasty for my breakfast before going to work. I happened to pass by SUPER SUB @ OTH and they had what I wanted: a tasty hotdog (not too "heaty") and also vegetables, which included my favorite spring onions! 🥰 The minute I stepped into the shop, the only two attendants inside immediately greeted me warmly with big smiles. I explained it was my first time there, and one of them patiently introduced me to their best sellers, so I decided to dine in. 😊
I ordered The Pesto Chic Folks and was surprised that it was the first time I had a hotdog bun without chili sauce, because their ingredients were so fresh and delicious. I wanted to enjoy its original taste. Another thing that surprised me was their Teh Halia. They catered to what I wanted: less sweet, and I dare say it can beat, or maybe even be better than, some Indian stalls, because they put heart into the drink (just see the bubbles on the surface of the cup...). Needless to say much, right? 😉
Thank you, SUPER SUB! And thank you to the two attendants for your dedication and good vibes! Giving me SUPER SUB power for the day! 💪💪💪😁
"I ordered the Fiery Chic Bolognese with a top-up for the Cheezy Hotdog, and the Heavenly Yuzu Crab.
The Fiery Chic Bolognese was okay, just slightly spicy. I wish the cheese in the Cheezy Hotdog had been melted, or was more like string cheese. The Heavenly Yuzu Crab was better."
The fried rice was very dry and lumpy, feeling and tasting like it had been fried and then leftover for a couple of days. The chicken also tasted a bit off, possibly not fresh.
The drinks were delicious and tasted amazing. However, my review of the food itself wouldn't be so grand. I ordered chicken cutlet with fried rice, and my friend ordered carbonara. She said that the sauce was sweet, as if they added condensed milk, and she noticed a strand of hair hiding in the pasta. We were shocked but set it aside. Once my food came, the rice was bland and average, but the chicken was delicious. Though, to my surprise, I noticed a few more strands of hair – around three. It was displeasing, to say the least.
I would recommend buying the drinks, but not the food. And I hope that they wear hair nets to avoid any hair falling on the food.
Overall, we had a nice lunch. We ordered fried rice, XXL chicken, and chicky chop. The price is reasonable, and the portion sizes are quite generous.
A few things they should improve are that the ordering app has issues, and the fried rice is quite plain (it needs more umami).
Ordered the DIY dessert bowl. They gave very few ingredients: a handful of pearls and taro balls, a spoonful of cheese foam, and a negligible amount of mini sago.
"I was totally disappointed with the torched wagyu beef cubes. The staff asked me about the doneness, but they only cooked it well done, even though I asked for medium-rare. To me, this didn't even seem like Wagyu at all. The onion rings were also a disappointment. The only food that was average was the crispy giant squid."
"Do not dine at Tampines Hub. On March 16th, I went with my family. The prawn fried rice was amazingly the worst fried rice I've ever tasted. The rice was so soggy and tasted bad. My 4-year-old daughter had the carbonara, and halfway through, she kept saying she was full and her stomach hurt. After dinner, she felt nauseous. She couldn't sleep well the entire night and woke up at 5 am complaining of feeling unwell. At 8 am, she vomited a lot. If she's still unwell, I will bring her to a doctor to get certified if it is food poisoning, and if it is, I will pursue this with the authorities. Anyway, I have blacklisted this restaurant! Those who still want to gamble their luck, by all means, waste your money and time!"
