Best Zaika is great for biryani and freshly baked breads. The dum biryani and mutton yakhni biryani, in particular, were very good.

I had high hopes for this mala stall, but it was a total letdown. The food was bland, completely lacking the rich and numbing flavors you'd expect from a proper mala dish. To make things worse, the large intestine didn’t taste fresh at all; there was a weird aftertaste that made it quite unappetizing. If that wasn’t bad enough, the lady at the counter had a horrible attitude. She was rude, impatient, and acted like taking my order was a huge inconvenience. A little basic courtesy goes a long way, but apparently that’s too much to ask here. With so many great mala options around, I definitely won’t be coming back.

"Tastes pretty decent for xiao la; it's not tasteless like the previous review stated. The mala is a "wet" version (if that's the right term) compared to the drier versions out there."

I think this is in my top 5 mala spots in the east, maybe even in Singapore. I ordered da la, and it tastes really good. The numbing sensation is perfect, too.

I think it's relatively cheap compared to all the other reviews calling this place a scammer. My budget mala is 6 bucks, which is $5.40 after the discount. It is a little slow, but not super, super slow, to be honest. Maybe if you order delivery, they will try to scam you, but it's hard to say.

Firstly, the service was absolutely horrendous. The person running the store was very rude. Because the window couldn't open, I accidentally pushed the door too hard. I tried to apologize, but this guy went out of his way to scold me, which reminded me of my encik in the army. Secondly, the ridiculous price added fuel to the flame. I ordered a two-person portion meal, and to my shock, it was $30, which added to the disappointment in my taste buds. Even if the food was a delight, I think the money would have been better spent if I had burnt it. Like what others have said, it was bland and tasteless. Last but not least, to add insult to injury, the food wasn't even cooked properly. Not one or two, but at least four pieces of meat were still pink. What kind of standard is this? The guy's attitude served as a stern warning about the quality of the food, and I regret not leaving the store ASAP. I would strongly recommend going all the way to Jurong instead if you decide that you want mala, but this is the only store open in the east.

"We mentioned eating here, but the cashier keyed in the order as "take away" and charged us an additional 90 cents. When we went to clarify, the cashier said it was not possible to refund or compensate us in any other form. We ordered at 7:03 pm and were still waiting for the food 30 minutes later. It would be better if they had two chefs. The chicken wings were over fried, and we could taste a burnt flavor. Disappointed :("

Unexpectedly good. The hor fun and Xinzhou noodles have a noticeable wok flavor. The taste is very authentic, and it has a halal certificate.

Ate at Newton. The stingray was burnt. The lala wasn't fresh, lacked spice, and was very watery. The tom yum soup was the worst; it tasted like clear soup with tom yum powder added, and it was incredibly salty. I highly recommend *not* eating here.

They serve tasty halal seafood and it's also very affordable. Seafood fried rice for $5 is a hard deal to beat. Food is served very fast, too. Good service.
