The Xinyao SG60 Concert, recently held on Saturday, September 27th, was a vibrant celebration of music, care, and community spirit. Marking Singapore's 60th birthday and anticipating the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, the evening brought together residents for a truly heartwarming experience.

A Symphony of Timeless Melodies

Attendees were treated to an unforgettable night filled with timeless Xinyao favourites and soulful folk melodies. The stage came alive with captivating performances by renowned artistes including Michelle Pan, Chyi Yu, Yvonne Cheng, Li Fei Hui, Deng Shu Xian, Hong Shao Xuan, and Dennis Chew, among many others. Guiding the evening with their lively presence were emcees Leelian Chua and Kenneth Jian Wen, ensuring a seamless and engaging show for all.

Bridging Generations Through Shared Spirit

Beyond the captivating performances, the concert served as a meaningful platform for intergenerational connection. Youth volunteers from Youth Corps Singapore (YCS) and Soka Gakkai Singapore (SOKA) actively engaged with seniors, fostering bonds and bridging generations through shared moments of music and care. This initiative beautifully showcased the power of community spirit when individuals come together to give back and support one another.

Leaders and Community Unite

The spirit of unity was further amplified by the presence of distinguished guests. Advisers to Tampines GRC GROs, Minister Masagos Zulkifli, Mayor Baey Yam Keng, and Mr. Desmond Choo, graced the event. They joined residents and visitors on stage for a special cheque presentation and delivered a welcome address, adding to the celebratory atmosphere and underscoring the collective commitment to community well-being.

A Concert with a Cause

Every ticket purchased for the Xinyao SG60 Concert contributed to a greater cause. All proceeds from ticket sales are dedicated to supporting vital community programmes by the North East Community Development Council (North East CDC). This reinforces a shared spirit of care and contribution, made possible through the invaluable partnership with North East CDC and Tampines GRC.
