Hainan Opera The Top Scholar Zhang Wen Xiu at Our Tampines Hub on 20 Sep 2026
Festival Arts presents Hainan Opera, The Top Scholar Zhang Wen Xiu (琼剧《张文秀》), on Sunday, 20 September 2026 at 5 PM at the Festival Arts Theatre in Our Tampines Hub. The traditional Chinese opera performance tells the story of scholar Zhang Wen Xiu, who is falsely accused by Wang San Jie's father and later returns as top scholar to clear his name and reunite with Wang San Jie.
The performance is presented in Hainese with Mandarin and English surtitles, making it accessible to a broader audience. Ticket redemption must be done in person on-site via QR code registration at the L1 Customer Service Counter, between 10 AM and 9 PM from 21 August 2026 onwards. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis, and each person is entitled to a pair of tickets upon successful registration.
