Faster Football Singapore 2026 — Three Days of 7-a-Side at Our Tampines Hub Stadium
One week after the World Cup Final, the pitch at Our Tampines Hub (OTH) Stadium turns into an international 7-a-side festival. Faster Football Singapore 2026 runs Friday 24 to Sunday 26 July, bringing 36 elite clubs from 14-plus countries to play roughly 95 matches across three days on a full-size FIFA 2-star pitch inside a 5,000-seat stadium. The format is fast: 7-minute halves, four games every hour, and a structure that mixes Men's, Women's and Masters tournaments so the match-ups keep rotating.
The timing is deliberate. The event sits a week after the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final, when football attention in Singapore is at its peak. As Singapore football icon Abbas Saad, who scored a hat-trick to help Singapore win the Malaysia Cup, put it: world-class talent at a world-class venue with Singapore in the spotlight, with everyone "fully dialled in for an amazing festival of football." Faster Football first launched in Singapore in July 2025 at Jalan Besar Stadium under the Soccer7sSeries banner, drawing over 90 million social impressions and 2 million YouTube views globally. The 2026 edition moves to OTH's bigger stadium and scales up the line-up.
Who is playing
The draw pulls clubs from the English Premier League, Germany's Bundesliga, Brazil's Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, the J-League, the Chinese Super League and Liga Super Malaysia. On the Men's side, confirmed clubs include Borussia Dortmund, Coventry City, Queens Park Rangers, Yokohama F. Marinos, Hashtag United, Vasco da Gama, Shanghai Shenhua, PERSIB, Sydney FC and Dubai United FC. The Brazilian pairing of Corinthians and Vasco da Gama brings the samba flair the organisers are selling.
The Women's tournament features Hashtag United Women, Selangor Women, Taichung Blue Whales, Eastern Thunder, Still Aerion and Geylang Women. The Masters tournament is where the legends show up. Leicester City Masters return with Wes Morgan, the 2016 Premier League-winning captain, alongside Borussia Dortmund Legends, AC Milan Legends, PERSIB Masters, Singapore FC Masters and Shanghai Shooters Masters. The local connection is the draw for many: Singapore greats Shahril Ishak, Khairul Amri, Lionel Lewis, Daniel Bennett, Aleks Duric and Isa Halim all feature across the Masters and Men's draws, sometimes lining up against European opposition within the same hour.
Wes Morgan on why the format works
Morgan, who returns with the Leicester City Masters team after their 2025 Singapore win, explains why the 7-a-side game suits players who thought they had retired from serious competition. "Singapore, last year, was a great location and experience," he said. "The players were buzzing to travel, meet up again, and do what we love: hyper playing good, competitive football. The 7-a-side format is really enjoyable. It's important to be brave at the back, comfortable one-on-one, and ready to adapt. We have defenders getting up front, strikers dropping into midfield, and everyone was flexible, looking to create chances and wanting to win."
The format's pace is the product. With 7-minute halves, every touch matters, defenders push high, and the ball is rarely out of play. Four games every hour means a spectator at OTH can watch Singapore legends face Borussia Dortmund's, then 15 minutes later see Aleks Duric and Isa Halim line up against a Premier League All-Star team, as Faster Football CEO Dom Lane puts it. There is nowhere else in Singapore where that sequence happens inside a single afternoon.
More than the matches
Beyond the pitch, Faster Football turns OTH into a family festival. The programme runs player meet-and-greets, food and drinks, entertainment, and activations celebrating local culture. The 2025 debut generated over 30 hours of live broadcast coverage across more than 200 territories via DAZN, and the 2026 edition is positioned as the first stop in a multi-market series, with Faster Football Dubai 2027 confirmed for January 2027 at Emirates Sevens Stadium. Singapore 2026 is the bigger, more established sibling.
