Free Conversations on Racial and Religious Harmony, 22 August 2026
The SAF Veterans' League presents "Conversations on Racial and Religious Harmony" on Saturday, 22 August 2026, from 10:00am to 11:00am at Tampines Changkat CC Auditorium, Level 4. Admission is free, with registration starting at 9:30am before the programme begins.
The first session, "Racial Harmony - The Singapore Experience," traces Singapore's journey from the 1964 riots to a vibrant society built on active appreciation. It explores how legal frameworks like the MRHA and everyday spaces such as hawker centres and void decks weave together the nation's social fabric.
A second session, "Relax Lah Bro!", offers a non-confrontational discussion on the accumulation of subtle racism using local examples. The session introduces the pyramid of Racial Harmony framework and practical actions for social cohesion, highlighting how diversity became Singapore's ultimate strength.
