- The Char Kway Teow was dry and flavorless. - The Black Carrot Cake was excessively salty, with an overpowering soy sauce flavor. Will not visit again.

"Maybe avoid the black carrot cake. The white one sounds better based on other reviews. The black was drenched in a sickeningly sweet sauce and was unappetizing. Plus, the chef kind of had an attitude problem; he ignored my husband while his cooked dish was just sitting there, and then half-ignored him while he was ordering, just because he didn't state the size he wanted at the outset. Maybe my hubby was a bit upset at the long queue to start with, too, but... mm, not a nice experience."

I'm giving this stall a 1-star rating hoping to get the owner's attention. To be clear, I'm happy to pay the advertised price on your menu. I did NOT ask for any discount. I wanted to order white (no dark sweet sauce) fried kway teow without cockles. Your staff said they could do it without cockles, but *could not* do it without the dark sweet sauce because white kway teow isn't on the menu. He said he had to put at least *some* sauce to fry it. The menu *does* have black or white carrot cake. By the way, the menu doesn't have "kway teow without cockles" either, but the staff was okay with that request. So, could the owner please either (1) update the menu to include white fried kway teow, or (2) inform your staff that it's fine to make it without the dark sweet sauce? The dark sweet sauce makes the kway teow feel rich and heavy. Without the dark sauce, it would taste nicer and be healthier, and also cater to another group of customers.

The food was tasty, and the prices weren't too expensive. We had the seafood mee goreng and the white carrot cake and enjoyed both dishes. We will be back to try the Hokkien prawn noodles.

"I really love their seafood fried rice and Hokkien mee. My only note is that the prawns still have their shells on."
