Located within Our Tampines Hub (OTH), this library has five levels that cater to all ages, from level 2 for young children to level 6 for older residents. All levels are accessible via escalators or lifts, and the library features modern facilities.
The residents of Tampines are very lucky. It was quite crowded on the Sunday I visited, and it looks like the library is widely used and popular.

"There are lots of books available, but some of the staff are pretty rude, while others are useless because they don't get rid of the selfish parents and their screaming kids."

Previously, I encountered a rude staff member who wouldn't let me prepare a milk bottle at the entrance. They seemed to think I was bringing my toddler to the library *just* to feed him. I didn't even get a chance to take my son to the library to introduce him to books.
Today, my husband and I attempted to introduce him to the library and books, but before we even got to the lift, my son became interested in the exhibition. He explored it for a bit, but a security guard became upset that I was pushing a pram. He assumed I was pushing the pram *through* the exhibition, when I was simply standing in a corner, replying to messages.
Tampines Library is the worst (sadly, it's in my neighborhood), and please don't advocate introducing books or reading to children when your staff is not at all aligned with this principle.

"Huge library with many books available. It would be best if this concept library went to all islands."

"Fantastic collection of books, DVDs, and other educational materials. It's certainly pleasing to the eye aesthetically, with its modern look and spaciousness, though you have to walk quite a distance to drop your books off.
In addition, there are great views due to the glass panels that allow you to see the main road and the stadium.
Last but not least, there are many private corners where you can read in peace. Loved such intimacy 😂"

The Tampines Hub Library is an amazing location to read, learn, relax, and read again. It's packed with a lot of goodies for everyone, with five levels of dedicated areas for kids, children, teens, young adults, adults, and seniors. Other than books, which any other library provides, it also has an audio section, video lessons, movies, cooking lessons, a kids' playground, a study area, a computer area, and a venue for events. The list goes on and on. It's a massive upgrade from the previous library. The rich design and color do set the mood for each level you are at. It's a must to check this place out!

Located inside Our Tampines Hub.
Free entry and free air conditioning.
A great place to spend your time reading and browsing books, and also to escape Singapore’s hot weather.
The range of reading material was wide. Borrowing and returning books was easy, with self-service options available.
I was impressed by the book return machine. You just place the books into the machine, ensure the "returned" sign appears, and that's it. It's interesting that the machine is able to move to another location after it detects that it's full.
Strongly recommended to drop by.

"This library spans five stories, from the second to the sixth floor. If there's a soccer match happening, you can even enjoy the view from within the library.
It has the most complete book collection of any library I've ever visited. Each section is located on a different floor. The third floor is dedicated to kids and includes an indoor playground."

What an amazing library in the heartlands! Being a regional library, its size is much bigger than most libraries in Singapore. This library spans five floors and has a good number of sofas, tables, and chairs for studying, as well as culinary studios for cooking classes and a pixel lab for learning coding and other IT skills. Some of the sofas have a wonderful view of the artificial turf pitch at OTH (Our Tampines Hub), while others have views of the surrounding roads and buildings. This library also has two terrace seating areas located on different floors. Visitors might also encounter a robotic moving book drop within the library. There is also a play area for children to have fun.
I was also greeted at the entrance for safe entry by a staff member who has special needs. The other staff seemed patient in guiding and encouraging her. Big thumbs up for inclusive hiring and a supportive work environment. We need more of this in society to ensure no one gets left behind.
Overall, I was impressed by the design, planning, and environment of the Tampines Regional Library. I hope to see more new libraries and upgrades to current libraries to keep them relevant in our ever-changing country, as libraries will always have a major place in our society as places to learn, relax, and grow.

"Nice, cozy place to borrow books, sit down, and read.
There are also many event spaces, like MakeIT, and culinary classes for a variety of courses. And study corners, too. Overall, a great place for adults, teenagers, children, and toddlers..."
