P&J's Chicken Chop has a classic taste and is super flavorful. The prices have gone up a bit, but the quality hasn't changed.

Ordered the Chicken Stew with White Rice ($3.50); the service was alright. The meal was ready quite fast. First impressions: the meal looks different from the picture on the menu. It's not really a chicken stew, but just a chicken wing covered in gravy. The chicken wing and rice were edible, and the egg and vegetables tasted fine. The only thing that saved the meal was the gravy, which tasted like KFC's mashed potato gravy. The meal didn't seem like a Western dish, but more like a *cai fan* meal. Overall, the meal was cheap, but it's neither filling nor particularly good.

This western food stall is located in the Kopitiam hawker center at Our Tampines Hub. It's one of the few food stalls here that opens until late, which is a bonus. One of my favorite fried chicken cutlets is from this stall. Just look at the picture, and you can see how big the chicken cutlet is! Not only is the surface area of the meat large, but it's also thick, unlike those from many other coffeeshop western food stalls. The meat is tasty and lean, and the fries are always freshly deep-fried, so they're always hot and crispy. Don't forget to pay via your NTUC app, as that gives you a 10% discount on the meal.

Ordered a chicken chop with mushroom soup to go. First and last time ordering from here. 1) Watery mushroom soup. 2) The chicken chop had a weird, bitter taste. I think it's due to it not being very fresh, or perhaps poor seasoning. 3) The fries were the thick-cut type and quite decent – the only decent part of the meal. 4) Service was mixed. The person who took my order was nice and friendly, but the person who cooked (or at least handed me) the order was rude. They said, "Did the beeper not beep?" in a challenging tone, because I was queuing to buy other food and took some time to pick up my order. Again, first and last time. Never again.

The chicken cutlet is crispy and juicy, but the lack of flavor or seasoning makes this Western place one to avoid for their fried items. The fries are also undersalted and taste bland. It doesn't help that the chicken makes up only about 50% of the dish, with the other 50% being batter – and that's me being generous.
