LAW@CDC 2026 Launches at Our Tampines Hub with 15 Webinars
Law Awareness Weeks @ CDC (LAW@CDC) 2026 officially launched at Our Tampines Hub's Festive Plaza, bringing practical legal knowledge directly to residents through 15 engaging, plain-language webinars starting this October. The nationwide initiative is jointly organized by the five Community Development Councils (CDCs) and Pro Bono SG.
The event's theme, "200 Years of Law in Singapore: What It Means for You," underscores the programme's goal of making legal aid and awareness more accessible to the community. The launch also celebrated the winning youth teams of the Access to Justice Community Co-Lab and recognised the inspiring SGLaw200 student competition winners.
Guest-of-Honour and Community Support
Mr Edwin Tong, Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs, delivered the keynote address as Guest-of-Honour. He was joined by Mayor Baey Yam Keng, Adviser to Tampines GRC GROs, along with all the Mayors, community partners, volunteer lawyers, and residents who attended the launch.
The event took place inside Our Tampines Hub, with signage visible for ONE PLAZA, SERVICE CENTRE, and E-LOBBY, reflecting the venue's role as a community gathering point. The launch highlighted how the community and young minds are coming together to strengthen legal support across Singapore.
Residents interested in the LAW@CDC 2026 webinars can look out for more details from their respective CDCs and Pro Bono SG as the October sessions approach.
