Hikayat Cita Rasa 2026 at Wisma Geylang Serai: Food Heritage Tours, Kueh Demo, and More
Hikayat Cita Rasa 2026, themed "Celebrating Our Culinary Heritage," takes over Wisma Geylang Serai on Saturday, 19 September 2026, from 10am to 6pm. Organised by Wisma Geylang Serai (part of the People's Association) and the Geylang Serai Cultural Belt, the full-day event offers food heritage tours, a traditional kueh demonstration, and a talk by culinary legend Mdm Aziza Ali.

The "Explore" segment, titled "Tracing Rencah, Rasa and Our Roots," features guided tours through Pasar Geylang Serai, where participants meet the people behind its flavours. Tour slots run at 10.20am, 10.50am, 11.20am, 11.50am, 1.30pm, 2.00pm, 2.30pm, and 3.00pm.

Chef Siti Mastura leads the session "Kueh Itu, Riwayat Kita!" (Kueh, Our Story), bringing traditional kueh and their stories to life. Two sessions are scheduled: Session 1 at 11.00am and Session 2 at 3.30pm.

At 2.00pm, Mdm Aziza Ali presents "Dari Kampung, Ke Pentas Dunia" (From Village to World Stage), a reflection on Malay food, heritage, and how the Malay table has evolved over time.
