Transforming Kitchen Scraps into Liquid Gold: A Guide to Bio Enzymes
Most people view fruit peels and vegetable scraps as simple waste, but these organic leftovers hold the potential to become "bio enzymes"—a natural, powerful solution for your garden and the environment. By repurposing kitchen scraps, we can create a sustainable cycle that enriches the earth and reduces our ecological footprint.
The Benefits of Bio Enzymes
Bio enzymes are fermented organic solutions produced from the natural breakdown of fruit and vegetable waste. These enzymes act as potent fertilizers and soil conditioners that help restore nature's balance. When applied to greenery, they enrich the soil with essential nutrients, boost plant growth, and serve as an eco-friendly alternative to chemical products.
Join the Sustainability Movement
If you are interested in turning your orange peels and banana skins into "plant power," there is a hands-on opportunity to learn the process. A specialized workshop is being held to guide the community through the steps of creating these eco-friendly extracts. This session is designed to provide practical knowledge on how to transform daily waste into a valuable resource for a greener lifestyle.
Workshop Details and Participation
The "Eco-Enzyme Workshop" will be hosted at Our Tampines Hub, offering an engaging environment for anyone looking to live more sustainably. To make the most of the session, participants are encouraged to bring their own citrus peels, banana peels, and leftover vegetables to begin their own fermentation process on-site.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, 15th February 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The workshop will take place in Function Room 2, located on Level 4. Whether you are an avid gardener or just starting your sustainability journey, there is always something for everyone to learn.
