Beijing Opera: Dragon and Phoenix In Auspicious Union at Our Tampines Hub
Ping Sheh Singapore brought the classic Beijing Opera Dragon and Phoenix In Auspicious Union (《龙凤呈祥》) to the Festive Arts Theatre at Our Tampines Hub. The Saturday evening performance transported the audience to the Three Kingdoms period, telling the tale of strategic wit, alliance, and Liu Bei's journey involving Sun Quan and Zhuge Liang.
The production featured grand storytelling, vibrant costumes, and traditional operatic artistry. Performers in ornate Chinese imperial-style costumes took the stage, recreating the drama of the era with red-furnished sets that evoked the royal courts of ancient China.
Our Tampines Hub thanked Ping Sheh Singapore, the cast, crew, and all traditional arts lovers who joined the event. The showcase highlighted the richness of cultural heritage and the enduring appeal of Beijing Opera in Singapore.
