Yakiniku Shokudo is a Halal-certified restaurant. I visited it today; it's located at Our Tampines Hub. When I visited, it was lunchtime. The ambiance is pleasant, with nice air conditioning, and it was quiet with nice service. We ordered Beef Bulgogi, Spicy Yakin Soba, a half-portion of sirloin, 50g of Karubi, and iced tea. Wow, the iced tea was nice—not too sweet—and the half-portion of sirloin tasted awesome. If they had a lunch offer, we would definitely come back again.

One of my son's favorite restaurants for a late lunch. I was surprised when he asked us to eat here. It's tasty, and the price is okay, but a bit pricey for students. The place is nice and cozy. The staff service is good as well. We will come back again next time.

"Japanese-style barbecue beef and chicken. The chicken set is poor because it's dry and doesn't include the skin."

"Nice ambience and attentive service. There were plenty of servers to help out. They had many food choices, including different types of thinly sliced beef for grilling. The noodle portion was good and had plenty of beef inside. The scallop was really good, too. Ample parking space."

"Perfect place for those with OCD, like me, who hate a messy and crowded table while eating. They provide proper plates to place your cutlery and everything else. I love the squarish plates. On weekdays, it's less crowded, so it's very peaceful. I love it so much! I enjoyed the atmosphere and food so much I forgot to take pictures. 😅 The price is slightly expensive, but the portion size and the quality of the meat justify the cost. There's only one kid's menu if you're thinking of bringing your child. Hope this helps."

"Came over for dinner and ordered their signature shokudo set. Service was prompt and efficient. The ambiance is spacious and comfortable. Price-wise, it's average. However, the food quality was mediocre, as the meat quality isn't really suitable for yakiniku. The sirloin was too lean, the beef tongue was so-so, and the short ribs were full of tendons, making them hard to chew – comparable to frozen halal beef from a supermarket chain. The meat is more suitable for cooking and stewing rather than barbecue. So, I was basically disappointed by the meat quality and thickness. Yakiniku Go and other places serve better meat. Not recommended for yakiniku; maybe try their cooked food instead."

"I tried it out with my family as we were passing by. The atmosphere isn't special, but that's made up for by the food. The meat was good and tender, and the kimchi was quite good as well. However, the place is a bit pricey. I ordered the Ribena, thinking I'd get a glass, but instead I got a 75ml kids' drink for $3.90. All in all, though, it was worth trying out this restaurant chain."

"First and last time coming to this place. The food was mediocre, the quantity small, the quality low, and it was overpriced. The beef karubi was literally half the thickness of what you'd expect at a typical yakiniku restaurant. The rest of the beef we ordered was full of tendons, sinewy, and tasteless. We also ordered chicken, and the quantity was a joke. The supposedly 160g cut felt more like an appetizer. So, in the end, we had to order extra cuts. For three adults and two kids, we spent over $140. I would rather go to Gyukaku at Tampines One for their higher quality. It's so disappointing because I thought they would rival Yakiniku Lite, but no, they are miles apart."

They have quite a lot of seats, and it's not crowded during lunch hour. The quality of the meat is better than their competitor's, but you can't choose the amount of rice you want. The kimchi that comes in the set isn't very good. Overall, it's okay, but my clothes stink when I walk out, meaning the ventilation needs improvement.
