"Ordered the Fishball Noodle Soup version ($3.50).
The service was alright; the elderly stall staff were okay, and the food was prepared swiftly.
The meal was average. There was a decent amount of fishballs and sliced fishcake with the noodles. The soup was alright, and the meal had sufficient portions of ingredients for the price.
Overall, it's nothing special, but it was a cheap and filling meal that I tried."

"Ordered fishball noodles to-go. I found a piece of plastic that was cooked into the noodles. It was so obvious that I immediately noticed it when I opened the container. My wife even found an eyelash in her soup (didn't take a picture).
Terrible."

Noodles were overcooked, almost mushy.
The staff's attitude was horrible. The old man cooking the noodles was very cranky. I was looking at my email while waiting, and he shouted very loudly, "Ooi!!!" to tell me to take my noodles. Uncivilized and rude staff; totally unacceptable.
The Thomson branch is so much better. This is my first and last time at this OTH outlet.
To the owner of this outlet, I hope you can do something to improve it. Your customers deserve better treatment and noodles.

While the food is great, the service is pretty poor. Let's talk about the food first – it's served piping hot, with great portion sizes (especially if you add noodles), and at a good price ($4.50 + 10% off if you use the app). It's my go-to place for some BCM on a cold day.
Now, about the service. The elderly man is generally cranky, but just recently I had an exceptionally poor experience with him. I showed up to the store, which had no queue, and he was in the midst of taking my order when another older man showed up seconds after me. He then proceeded to take the other man's order instead – presumably because he knew him or because he thought he deserved it because he was older. It wasn't really a big deal in terms of waiting time, but this is pretty unacceptable service.
Seconds later, a lady showed up behind me to collect an order, and the elderly man shooed me very rudely to pass the food to her. That was rather off-putting.
That said, the food is still good, and he's likely just a worker and not the owner. I'd still patronize it, but I'd just have to be prepared for potential rude treatment.
2025 Update: The elderly man is still there and just as rude and impatient as before. It's much better to patronize when he isn't on duty.

"This was my first time eating here in Tampines, and the elderly man serving had a terribly rude attitude. I was the only one ordering, and without looking up, he shouted, "What do you want? Don't point, say the number loudly." I refrained from shouting back. As for the food, it was horribly salty and oily. I recommend avoiding this place."
