"A very bad experience. The $7 plate of Hokkien mee looked like a $5 portion. And the amount of chili provided was just a small pinch, like what you'd pick up with chopsticks. When I asked for more, they told me it would be an extra 30 cents. If that's not a ripoff, I don't know what is."

"Tried the HKM. The texture of both noodles was just right, with great umami. However, the more you eat, you might find that it has too much MSG. The portion is a bit small for the price, but the ingredients are generous enough: three whole mid-size prawns, pork strips, and crispy pork lard."

"Very bad attitude. The carrot cake is bland and needs chili to make it edible. Unfortunately, no matter how many times you request extra chili, they pretend not to hear you and purposely don't give any for takeaways."

EXTREMELY RUDE HAWKER!!! I've been using CDC vouchers more often now that they're expiring soon, and I've been to many shops and hawkers. No one said anything or had any preference regarding CDC payments until I came here. This elderly man, who was at the back, was extremely rude when I asked a simple question. When I told him I would like to pay with a CDC voucher and the balance with coins, he said I should pay in full with cash or CDC. When I asked why, he replied extremely rudely, saying that's how he wants it and if I don't like it, I can go to another shop.

I tried a plate of HKM first; it was pretty delicious. Then, I ordered a plate of fried carrot cake to try. Although the food portion is small, the flavor of the HKM is tasty, and I needed another small portion of fried carrot cake to satisfy my cravings. It's worth trying if they maintain the same food quality and consistency.
