Chinese Instrumental Music School

I had a very pleasant experience for my Dizi trial lesson with Teacher Jonathan today (November 5, 2020). Even before my trial lesson began, two weeks prior to my first lesson, Jonathan was already patiently communicating with me about my original song music score, recommending the correct Dizi for my song. Teacher Jonathan is very friendly, patient, skilled, and knowledgeable. He went through all the different Dizi flute techniques with me and demonstrated them eloquently with music pieces. He even showed me an interesting technique where a horse's neighing or braying sound can be created on the Dizi! Very interesting! Students who sign up with CIMS can get a chance to perform in the Dicapella Dizi Ensemble in the Chinese Orchestra in the future, too. I've signed up for continued lessons.

This is the perfect place for kids to learn. Jonathan, who is in charge, is professional and very accommodating to changes. Gu Zheng teacher Ms. Sze Ning is very patient with our child and very dedicated. We are glad we enrolled our child there. If anyone needs a committed and professional team to groom their child, I would highly recommend this school with a 10/10.

So pleased to have found 華樂满屋! Chinese orchestra schools are hard to come by, especially one which teaches 中音唢呐! Even though we started with a trial class, my girl learned a lot from Teacher Jacky during the one-on-one lesson. Much of last year's CCA (in sec 1) was conducted online, so a deeper understanding of her suona was instrumental 😉 Big kudos to Jonathan, who has been so helpful and understanding, even before we set foot on the school premises. Looking forward to my girl building her CO journey with 華樂(爱心)满屋! Much appreciated!
