Ordered the kaya toast set, which came with soft-boiled eggs, toast, and a hot drink. The soft-boiled eggs were cooked perfectly, and they crack them for you, so that's a plus. I changed my drink to iced coffee, and it was quite thick and creamy. I saw other reviews complaining about the drink's consistency, so maybe I got lucky that day. The kaya toast was a little sad. It was two slices of bread cut in half, with a small piece of butter placed at the corner of the bun to make it look substantial (as long as you don't open the toast and check inside). The kaya spread was also pathetic; maybe it's some healthy living thing, but please have that reflected in the price as well. Healthy living includes not having a heart attack from seeing what you get for the price paid. The meal was around $6.50, which is quite comparable with other places like Ya Kun. The only thing they need to match now is the toast quality and portion size.

Amazingly poor. I ordered beef rendang and received chicken rendang instead. I wasn't thrilled, but the rendang sauce was just layered on top of the steamed chicken! The laksa was bland, too. Nothing great at all, and it wasn't cheap.

Perfect half-boiled eggs; the peanut butter toast was decent. The portion for the toast set (toast, two half-boiled eggs, and tea) was just right for me, as I wasn't very hungry in the morning. The macaroni, however, was disappointing. The soup had no flavor and tasted like salted water. Drinks are average. The menu price is net, and the pricing is typical for a stall in an air-conditioned place. It's hard to find a seat during weekend brunch hours, as it's usually full. Plenty of parking is available at Tampines Hub.

Chanced upon this while my husband and I were looking for brunch. We ordered the toast set and curry laksa, along with teh c and kopi-peng. We were pleasantly surprised that the tea and coffee were "gao" and nice. (We had read some poor reviews.) They didn't taste like plain water, and the curry laksa was flavorful. However, the tables weren't cleaned. Probably due to a busy Saturday? Price-wise, it's definitely cheaper than those big brands out there.

"Very disappointed with the quality of their drinks. The drinks are heavily diluted and quite bland. I informed the server, and they topped it up with more diluted tea. I hope management can improve the drink quality! It's a pity for such a local brand to not prioritize the quality of their local drinks."

Coffee is not very consistent; sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. Overall, it's just an ordinary place for a Kopi. The food was normal. It used to be the only better place for local Kopi in OTH. Update: Just had their Laksa and Mee Siam. The taste was so bad and weird. The standard has really dropped a lot. No wonder business isn't as usual.

"Perfect half-boiled eggs; the tea and coffee were standard. The kaya toast was disappointing. The butter was completely melted in a puddle at the bottom of the plate, making it a mess to eat, and they didn’t provide napkins. And they tried to rush us out even before we had finished our drinks! I understand that it was crowded and seating was limited, but we weren’t done yet! Won’t be going back."

"Ting" "Ting" "Ting" "Ting" "Ting" "Ting" "Ting" "Ting" This constant ringing of the counter bell, every 30 seconds or minute, is painfully annoying for dining customers. The counter staff was aggressively tapping the bell the moment a food item was ready, even before anyone could react to the LED notification (with audio alert). Why install the food queue alert LED screen system in the first place, when you keep tapping the bell to get people to collect their food? The noise is too disruptive for everyone. Food-wise, they have a unique variety of toast, like pork floss with condensed milk, and also tuna. The taste of the teh is average, similar to Fun Toast but not comparable to YK."

Review in 2024: I don't know what's wrong with Ah Khoo; their standards have dropped so much, and I will not visit again. Review in 2022: The coffee was just so-so, but you can try their tau sar pia, beef stew with rice, and laksa.
