What We Bring To The Table: Peranakan Theatre at Festive Arts Theatre
Festive Arts Theatre presents "What We Bring To The Table" on Saturday, 1 August 2026 at 7:30 PM. The theatrical event features three short plays blending humour, nostalgia, family chaos, colourful kueh, and live music inspired by Peranakan culture.
The three short stories, titled Ikek-Sio, Cucu Mulut, and Kuih-Mueh, feature performers including Chong Cheng Man, Elaine Daniel Lee, and Shirley Ivy. The production features dialogue in English, Malay, and Chinese with English subtitles, and includes live music and familiar songs.
Mujiu presents the event, with Tapestry serving as the talent provider. The production takes the form of a warm, kitchen-theatre gathering where stories simmer and memories bubble up around Peranakan flavours.
Audience members must redeem tickets in person on-site via QR code registration at the L1 Customer Service Counter between 10am and 9pm from 14 July onwards, on a first-come, first-served basis. Each person receives a pair of tickets upon successful registration.
