Join the Movement: Sorting Packaging Waste with Package Pals at Our Tampines Hub

Singapore faces a significant challenge with domestic waste, and a large portion of it stems directly from packaging. Did you know that packaging waste alone accounts for a staggering one-third of the 1.56 million tonnes of domestic waste produced in Singapore annually?
Much of this waste comes from single-use packaging, often accumulated from our online shopping hauls. But what if we could give these items a second life? This is where initiatives like Package Pals step in, advocating for and facilitating the reuse of such materials, transforming a linear "take-make-dispose" model into a more sustainable circular one.
Get Involved: The Package Pals Sorting Session
Package Pals invites you to their upcoming sorting session, a unique opportunity to contribute directly to environmental sustainability. This hands-on experience will allow you to learn practical ways to sort and prepare packaging donations for reuse, diverting them from landfills and giving them a renewed purpose.
Mark your calendars for **Sunday, September 21, 2025**, from **3:00 PM to 6:00 PM** at **Our Tampines Hub**. This session offers more than just sorting; it's a chance to connect with a vibrant community of individuals passionate about environmental causes and gain a deeper understanding of sustainable practices.
If you're keen to make a tangible difference and gain first-hand experience in waste reduction efforts, we encourage you to join. To indicate your interest and secure your spot, please reach out via Telegram at t.me/ppvolunteering. We look forward to seeing you there!
