Proactive Steps Toward Better Sight

Vision is one of our most precious senses, yet it is often something we take for granted until challenges arise. To encourage the community to take a more proactive approach to their health, the "See For Yourself" Roadshow recently transformed Our Tampines Hub (OTH) into a hub for vision wellness. The event served as a timely reminder that clear vision is a fundamental component of a bright and healthy future.

Supporting Our Residents

The roadshow saw an enthusiastic turnout, particularly among residents aged 40 to 60. This is a crucial age group for eye health, as many age-related conditions can be managed more effectively when detected early. Throughout the busy day, visitors took the initiative to sign up for complimentary eye screenings, choosing to make their long-term sight a primary priority. It was heartening to see so many individuals taking these essential steps toward maintaining their quality of life.

A Collaborative Community Initiative

This impactful event was made possible through a collaborative partnership between students from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the Straits Eye Centre, working alongside Our Tampines Hub. By bringing professional eye care services directly into the heart of the neighborhood, the initiative removed barriers to access and provided residents with expert guidance. We applaud the dedication of the students and medical professionals who volunteered their time to bring high-quality care closer to the community.
