Para Para PARTY Brings Community Together at Festive Arts Theatre
The Festive Arts Theatre at Our Tampines Hub hosted the Para Para PARTY, a collaborative musical event that brought children, adults, and residents together for a vibrant community performance. Attendees danced, vocalised, and turned everyday household objects into high-energy percussive instruments, filling the theatre with joyous rhythm.
Traditional Drumming and Dance Performances
Performers in traditional attire took to the stage with drumming and dance routines under coloured stage lights. The cultural performance drew families and children who gathered in the theatre to watch the live display of music and movement.
Jester Performance and Interactive Props
A performer dressed as a jester with pom-poms engaged a child participant on stage, incorporating a bright pink bucket and a large brown paper bag labelled with Chinese characters for coffee into the act. The interactive segment highlighted the event's emphasis on co-creation between performers and the audience.
Children Take the Stage
Children performed on a small stage under bright red and blue spotlights, with a large screen broadcasting the performance live to the audience seated on carpeted flooring. The segment showcased young participants contributing their own beats and voices to the collaborative musical experience.
Colourful Costumes and Percussive Creativity
Performers in colourful costumes, including one in green robes with a hat and another in blue striped attire playing a drum-like instrument, delivered a dynamic stage performance. Others seated on the floor used buckets and microphones as improvised instruments, reinforcing the event's theme of transforming everyday objects into percussive tools.
The Para Para PARTY at Our Tampines Hub's Festive Arts Theatre celebrated community collaboration through music, dance, and creative percussion. The event thanked all performers and attendees who brought their unique beats, voices, and energy to the stage.
