Our Tampines Hub welcomed approximately 30 adults and children to its Wellness Garden for the Therapeutic Series workshop, Basic Gardening: Succulent Plant. Participants gathered on the rooftop wooden decking under a white canopy tent to craft their own mini succulent gardens while picking up simple gardening tips.

Hands-On Planting with Branded Planters

Participants used small wooden planter boxes branded with JOS ALMEIDA CAFÉ DO BRASIL to arrange succulents with soil and decorative elements. Tools such as tweezers were provided as attendees worked at individual stations under the tent structure, getting hands-on experience with planting techniques.

Wellness Through Gardening

The session formed part of a wellness-focused programme, with background signage indicating that gardening activities aim to improve strength, flexibility, and balance. Participants arranged small succulents in CALIFORNIA GARDEN planter boxes using soil and decorative stones, combining physical engagement with creative expression.

Creative Succulent Displays

Some participants created elaborate mini cactus succulent displays featuring colourful gravel and small figurines, including a white animal statue, arranged inside rustic wooden crate-style planters. One planter bore the label 100% ARABICA CAFEDO BRASIL HAUT N°73843W, with stacked terracotta pots filled with multicoloured beads and gravel placed alongside the main display.

Garden & Grow Community Engagement

A Garden & Grow banner marked the activity area where participants handled small potted plants with soil and pots on the wooden deck. The outdoor canopy setting at the Wellness Garden provided a relaxed environment for community engagement through hands-on planting.

Our Tampines Hub plans to host more therapeutic workshops and wellness activities as part of its ongoing Therapeutic Series. Residents can look forward to future sessions at the OTH Wellness Garden.
