Our Tampines Hub Turns 9: National Day Celebration 8 to 10 August
Our Tampines Hub celebrated National Day and its 9th anniversary from 8 to 10 August with a three-day extravaganza featuring carnivals, fringe activities, sports clinics, hands-on family workshops, a National Day Concert, and a live NDP screening. Mitsubishi Electric sponsored interactive racing simulator stations at the registration desk, where visitors could also view an architectural model display of the Our Tampines Hub mixed-use development featuring roads, buildings, green spaces, and pedestrian zones. A "Happy Birthday" balloon with star decoration marked the festive entrance area, with Singapore and Malaysia flag tricolors displayed as part of the themed decor.
Hands-on Family Workshops
Children participated in hands-on art workshops seated at tables with paints and paper, supervised by adults while a camera crew filmed the activities. The workshops occupied a red carpeted zone cordoned off by stanchions near the mall atrium, with "SINGAPORE" branding visible on the wall.
Happy Birthday Singapore Claw Machines
"Happy Birthday Singapore" branded claw machines offered prize towels as redemption items, filled with red, white, and blue plush balls. The machines stood on a red carpeted area near the main entrance, with a Burger King sign visible in the background food court corridor and Tampines Hub signage overhead.
Yeo's Heritage Flavours, Hawker Favour Campaign
Yeo's ran a "Heritage Flavours, Hawker Favour" campaign display featuring bottled drinks including green tea and fruit juices, packaged snacks, and instant noodles. The display, co-branded with "Crafted" on a red mat, carried a "Celebrate Singapore's Heritage with Yeo's" sign alongside a "Happy Birthday SINGAPORE" banner in the mall atrium.
National Day Photo Booth
A photo booth with dark blue panels and horizontal LED strips offered visitors a commemorative snapshot experience in the mall atrium, equipped with modern lighting fixtures. Children received small plush toys in Singapore flag colors of red and white as souvenirs from the celebration.
The three-day event drew residents, performers, partners, and volunteers across the long weekend. Our Tampines Hub thanked all participants for making the celebration special as the Tampines community came together as one family.
