(Senior) Quality Engineer

Job Summary:

The quality engineer will have a strong background in quality assurance and control within the robotics industry, with a focus on assembly processes. This role will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout all products’ lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures for robot assembly.

· Establish quality management system and programs, conduct regular inspections and audits of assembly processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, production, and supply chain, to identify and resolve quality issues.

· Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to address defects and non-conformities.

· Monitor and analyse quality performance metrics and report findings to senior management.

· Ensure all quality assurance activities are in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

· Provide training and guidance to junior quality engineers and other team members on quality best practices, quality programs and quality standards.

· Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in quality assurance methodologies and technologies.

· Respond to customer inquiries, feedback and complaints regarding product performance and quality, ensure timely and effective resolution of any issues, improve customer satisfaction through quality improvements.

· Oversee all quality-related audits, both internal and external.

· Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement projects.

· Perform any other duties as assigned by superior.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the robotics or manufacturing industry.

· Certification in quality engineering (CQE) or a related certification is a plus.

Skills:

· Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.

· Ability to analyse complex data and identify trends and patterns.

· Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.

· Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high standards of quality.

· Proficiency in CAD software, ERP systems (e.g., Odoo), and data analysis tools.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

· Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor junior engineers and assembly staff.
